About Us
Morrisons is an almost 80 year old family business started by Charles Alexander Morrison in 1946. He was joined in the business by his two sons Vere and Sean Morrison and their wives Carrol and Karene, who had stores in Constantia and Meadowridge respectively.Peta, Vere Morrison's daughter, has taken the reins from her father with fresh ideas on how to grow the fine jewellery business is a changing world. Peta remains committed to the same level of quality and inspirational design so evident in her father's work. Morrisons is a proud member of the Jewellery Council of South Africa.
Peta Morrisons studied gemology at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California. At the GIA, she went on to study jewellery design under the tutelage of Robert Ahrens, former head jewellery designer of famed jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels. Peta has a couple of jewellery design awards to show for her hard work and creativity. She’ll be happy to discuss the creation of custom made jewellery pieces or the remodelling of a piece that you no longer wear.

Peta's Mission
"Morrisons was founded on the principles of honesty and quality. I'm building on that by keeping our designs locally made by highly skill local artisans. In a world of fast fashion and cheap imports, my brand is about authenticity and intention. Each piece is created with our clients in mind, jewellery that has meaning and evokes emotion. Badges of honour that celebrate victories, accomplishments and milestones. Because each piece you purchase holds a place in your heart for a special and significant reason." Peta Morrison
Peta's Vision
My vision is a jewellery industry that is sustainable and ethical. Staying hands on through the whole jewellery making process from design to store enables me to make sure that my gemstones are ethically sourced and my precious metals are the correct karatage. The use of precious metals means that our jewellery is, not only valuable, but these are materials that can be refurbished, repair and remodelled.
